ECO-SCHOOLS
Eco-Schools now are in all of the Countries that are Members of European Union, also in some of the countries in East and in the Central Europe. Also there are some small projects that have to do with Eco-Schools in others parts of the world. Below is the map of countries in Europe where Eco-School exists. 

MORE INFORMATION'S ABOUT ECO SCHOOLS
The Eco-School program pretends to raise pupils ecology awareness throughout class teaching and together with them designs environmental system that must be created in the future. In these schools teachers talk about the water (and it's usage), about energy many other problems that has to do with ecology. In some national programs the schools have begun to talk about also about transport, noise, nature, biodiversity, and healthy living. This has pushed many youngsters to play an active and useful role.
The Eco-Schools Green Flag, won by the Eco-Schools which with their program have reached a big success is an respected Eco-Label for environmental education.
The country must accept every school and the school must have professional teachers. Also the democracy and tolerance problem must be included.

ECO SCHOOLS REWARED WITH AWARD ON GLOBAL EDUCATION
For their good work Eco-School programs are one of the five European projects rewarded on Global Education, by European Council "Center North-South" (European Center for European Solidarity) in cooperation with NCDO (Comity for International Cooperation). Rewarded are two representatives of Eco-School programs, national representatives of Eco-Schools for Ireland and Italy (Elizabeth Donelly and Piero Bianchini) in a seminar. This seminar was organized by European Council's Campaign for Global Solidarity in Budapest, Hungary 3-5 June 1999.

ECOSCHOOLS IN KOSOVA
In Kosova there where never Eco-Schools except before the war there was ecological training called Eco-School and the teacher was Sebiha Ahmeti. This kind of training was held on offices of former Club for Open Society - Soros Foundation. Now after the war we, the Group of Young Ecologists, have opened a sort of Eco-School where can come pupils of primary schools.

MORE ABOUT THE ECO-SCHOOL PROGRAM IN KOSOVA
The Eco-School program in Kosova also the Eco-School program in foreign countries is concentrated in ecology. But except the ecology we talk about many other things. There we talk about all the things which are in youngsters interest. Upper is said that the democracy and tolerance problem must be always involved in Eco-Schools so in Prishtina the democracy, tolerance and peace problem. Also in Prishtina Eco-School we talk about the AIDS disease. Also we talk about drugs and alcohol that are destroying peoples lives. At the end of the program we give an certificate to every participant. The Eco-Schools lasts one month and there are two groups in a month.

ECOLOGY
According to biology books (other books also) ecology is a part of biology that studies life conditions and also relations between organisms. Ecology is a science that avoids garbage throwing in wrongful places, also ecology protects animal rights, also it takes care of air we can say that it takes care of environment. You must never forget that WITHOUT CLEAR ENVIRONMENT THERE IS NO HEALTHY LIFE.

GARBAGE'S
Garbage's are one of the biggest environmental problem. Big number of garbage's in the streets of Prishtina is made by man carelessness. The garbage's may causes many diseases also some of these diseases are mortal. What can we do to stop these diseases? We must throw garbage's in the right place and than the city cleaners will come and take them. So, always THROW GARBAGE'S IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

RECYCLING
Garbage's can be recycled. For example in your house you brake your cup and the competent people will recycle it so they will make another cup from your broken cup. There are industries for recycling. Group of Young Ecologists have done some great things from recycled materials like the ones you see below in the photos. Also GYE has done a small city from recycled materials. You can also make some things from recycled materials in your home for example you can take seeds, plastic things and glue them in the paper or something else and by doing this you can make a perfect art for your home. We have also organized an exhibition with these kind of things.

AIR
The air is also one of the biggest environmental problem that and it also destroys environment. The polluted air can also destroy your organism. Nowadays air usually gets polluted from industries and high number of cars. The plants can make air fresher by taking CO2 and giving O2. How can you contribute in making air fresher? By planting and also if you are the last person living the room always put the lights off and when you brush your teeth don't leave the water opened while you rub the teeth. The air can be polluted by cigar smoke also by different fires we cause in the streets. So what we can PLANT TREES, NEVER CAUSE FIRES, NEVER DON'T SMOKE CIGARETTES, PUT THE LIGHTS (when you are the last person leaving the room) AND WATER (while you brush your teeth).
